I Choose to Believe

It's been a tumultuous week. Tonight a friend of mine shared some good words:

The art of allowing is soothing yourself, coddling yourself if you will. It's talking with yourself the way you would soothe anyone that you love. It's reassuring yourself

I choose to believe there is an open door

I choose to believe there is an agency willing to work with me NOW to adopt from Guatemala

I choose to believe the agency that is MY agency is willing to allow me to foster in Antigua

I choose to believe that God is in control

I choose to feel calm and confident in my choices and decisions

I choose to allow the adversity swirling around other people to dissipate around me

I choose to believe that it will be smooth sailing once I get connected with MY agency

I choose to believe I am in the process of having all the money I need before I need it

I choose to believe my family is being created even as I type these words

I choose to believe I will live safely & happily in Antigua with my child while we are completing the adoption process

I choose to allow myself to move forward now, knowing all is well

Just got updated on your blog. The best thing you can do is believe!( this is what got me through the adoption of Aidan). I totally understand the frustration, especially the money. Our agency that we were using for Guatemala (World Partner Adoptions -WPA)still has our $4000.oo., but they seemed to be very good and were quick in getting back to me with any questions I had.You might want to contact them. Eventhough we are so thrilled and elated to have Aidan part of me still wants a baby girl from Guate. to join our family. At this point we are tapped out financially and I want time with my baby boy for awhile. Anyways, I will be thinking about you, praying, and sending you some positive energy!

Good luck to you. I hope it all works out. Just keep in mind that maybe what you have in mind for your future may not be what God intended. Did you ever pray that a certain boy would like you or that popular girl would be your friend and then it never happened? At the time you thought, wow, this is so unfair and then you find out the boy ended up in jail and the popular girl ended up pregnant? Remember, things happen for a reason and while you may believe this is your future to be (fostering and adopting from Guat) that maybe that is not what is in store for you at all. Keep the faith. Good luck.
